Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 18-25 January 2020

During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Churches of all faiths are called together to form a vibrant and prayerful witness for Christian Unity by heeding Jesus’s prayer "that they all may be one.”

The theme this year is They Showed Us Unusual Kindness (cf. Acts 28:2), reminding us of the need for "unusual kindness” in the dialogue that leads to growth in unity, in a world where separation and division hinder the quest for Christian Unity.

The dates have a symbolic significance. It starts on 18 January, original date of the feast of the Chair of St. Peter and ends on the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul (25 January).

Ecumenical Services for Christian Unity near Our Lady Queen of Peace on Sunday, 19 January:
  • 3:30pm: Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange
  • 4pm: Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Ave (organised by the Archdiocese)
  • 4:30pm: Church of the Holy Name, Beechwood Ave
