III World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, Sunday 23 July 2023

“His mercy is from age to age” (Lk. 1:50) is the theme chosen by the Holy Father for the III World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.
The National Grandparents’ Pilgrimage will take place in Knock on Sunday, 23 July. All are welcome for this wonderful celebration of family and faith through the generations.

Peter’s Pence Collection, 29 & 30 June 2022

The annual Peter’s Pence collection takes place this weekend, 29 & 30 June. This Collection provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. It will replace the second collection for Share.

Solemn Mass in honour of St Josemaría, 12 noon on Sat 17 June 2023

Fr Donncha Ó hAodha was the principal celebrant at the Solemn Mass in honour of St Josemaría on Saturday, 17 June at 12 noon.
It was a beautiful celebration, attended by a large congregation of all ages. Afterwards people enjoyed refresments in the church grounds, facilitated by the sunny afternoon that followed a damp morning.

Parish arrangements

While the incidence of Covid-19 has diminished, hand sanitising is recommended and the wearing of masks in the church is discretionary. It is still recommended to maintain some level of social distance from others, so we encourage you to spread out in the church as much as possible.

Year for Vocation to Diocesan Priesthood

The Year for Vocation to the Diocesan Priesthood will run from Vocations/Good Shepherd Sunday, 30 April 2023, which also marks the 60th anniversary of the initiation of the annual World Day of Prayer for Vocations, instituted by Saint Pope Paul VI in 1963 during the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council.
The Council for Vocations of the Bishops’ Conference has organised this year to promote vocations to the diocesan priesthood.
