Blessing with and Veneration of Relic of the True Cross: after 12 noon Mass on Sat, 14 Sept 2024

14 September is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It commemorates the day in 320 when St Helena discovered the True Cross on the site where the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem now stands.
Relics of the Holy Cross have been venerated since then, in praise of the redemption won for us by Christ on Calvary.

After 12 noon Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace on Saturday 14 September there will be a Blessing with and Veneration of a relic of the True Cross.
It will also be possible for those attending to personally venerate the relic.

The liturgy will be livestreamed on the parish website homepage, Facebook and YouTube.
