Sunday 25 September was Diocesan Safeguarding Day. Our Safeguarding Representatives are Catherine O’Flynn and Anne Gallagher. We are very grateful to both of them for undertaking this important task on our behalf.
We wish to encourage and promote the participation of children, young people and vulnerable adults in the life and work of our parish. Safeguarding is about creating an environment which facilitates such involvement so that all of us who are members of this parish community can grow in love of God and service to others.
In the short video below, Archbishop Farrell, Natalie Doherty, Fr Michael Casey SDB, Frances Stephenson and Deirdre Donnelly speak about the importance of safeguarding and this year’s theme, Safeguarding – A Gospel Value.
