The Novena of Grace began on Friday 4 March and ended on Saturday 12 March, 400th anniversary of the canonisation of St Francis Xavier in 1622.
Each day of the novena, the prayer seeking the intercession of St Francis Xavier was recited at the end of Mass.
At the 12 noon Mass each day there was a special homily taking in an aspect of the life of St Francis Xavier, with practical lessons being drawn for ordinary life.
