Refined Pilgrimage Programme (Summary)
Day 1 – Monday, 6 April – Barbastro
Departure from Dublin to Barcelona. On arrival around noon, transfer by private coach to Barbastro. Check into Grand Hotel Ciudad de Barbastro 4*. Lunch en route. Mass and sightseeing in Barbastro town. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 – Tuesday, 7 April – Torreciudad
Visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Torreciudad, one of Spain’s great Marian sanctuaries and closely associated with St Josemaría Escrivá. Time for Holy Mass, prayer, and reflection. Lunch in El Grado. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Wednesday, 8 April – Zaragoza
Excursion to Zaragoza. En route, visit the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Perdiguera, where St Josemaría served as curate shortly after his priestly ordination. Continue to Zaragoza to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, with time for Mass and prayer. Lunch included. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Thursday, 9 April – Lourdes
A day of excursion to Lourdes. Time for prayer, mass and lunch. Transfer back to Barbastro for dinner, and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 – Friday, 10 April – Montserrat
Early rise. Transfer to Montserrat (2 hours). A half day detour at the Abbey of Montserrat. Conventual mass at 11am. Free time for prayer, excursion hikes or cable car to the Cave, lunch and souvenirs. Depart Montserrat at 4pm. Transfer to Barcelona Airport and return flight to Dublin.
