Following the Building Hope Gatherings in Parishes, Archbishop Farrell has recently announced new Partnership Pastoral Areas in the Archdiocese. Our Lady Queen of Peace will be part of a partnership with Donnybrook, Booterstown and Milltown Parishes.

Each parish will retain its identity, particular sense of community and its financial independence.

However, the Partnership will be a more formal collaborative arrangement and will focus on the development of a Partnership Council with representatives from all four parishes, reviewing Mass scheduling, setting up Funeral Ministries and extending and supporting Lay Ministries in each parish.

Our Parish Pastoral Council has already met to determine how we can best collaborate with the other parishes in our partnership. We have had a further meeting in January to develop this in more depth – in preparation for our first meeting with PPCs of the other parishes at the end of January.

We see this as a positive opportunity to cooperate with our partnership parishes, to build on our strengths and listen to their successful initiatives.
