Lay Ministry Collection, 14-15 May 2022

On World Vocations Sunday (8 May 2022), we remind ourselves to pray continuously for vocations to the priesthood. An urgent need, too, is to find new ways for priests and people to work together in parishes: to harness the time and talent of lay people and support them in developing their skills for use in the faith community.

Penance & Reconciliation

Confession enables us to experience God’s love and mercy. When we sincerely tell our sins out loud and are granted absolution by God (acting though the priest), we get a fresh start and put our sins behind us. Through confession, we learn that God’s love and mercy really are boundless.
