Parish Family Fun Day, Sunday 24 September 2023

You are invited to attend our Parish Family Fun Day, a most enjoyable annual event open to families with young children who gather after 12 noon Mass. There will be a range of outdoor entertainment with a ready supply of light refreshments all provided by volunteers.

We pray for those persons living on the margins of society, in inhumane life conditions; may they not be overlooked by institutions and never considered of lesser importance.
Relationships Enrichment: Sessions for engaged and recently married couples

Several couples are attending our monthly Relationships Enrichment sessions for engaged and recently married couples.
The date of our next meeting has yet to be decided.
Parish Corpus Christi procession, Sunday 11 June 2023 at 3pm

Our parish Corpus Christi procession, the first since 2019 due to Covid, took place in glorious weather at 3pm around the grounds of Our Lady Queen of Peace.

Adoration for Children: Saturday 6 May at 4pm

Period of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (around 10 minutes), with brief reflections and prayers led by a parent. There are gaps to permit the children to speak to Jesus in their own words. Preparatory class and games afterwards.
Novena of Grace, Sat 4 – Sun 12 March 2023

The Novena of Grace takes place from 4 – 12 of March each year. St Francis Xavier was canonised on 12 March 1622.
At the 12 noon Mass, a special homily is preached on an aspect of the life of St Francis Xavier, with practical lessons being drawn for ordinary life.
Christmas Appeal 2022 for Queen of Peace Primary School for Girls in Lodwar

This Advent we launch our Annual Christmas Appeal for our parish outreach project in Lodwar, Kenya.
Bishop John and Sr Agnes are most grateful for your Christmas gift of education to help these girls break out of the trap of poverty.

Lay Ministry Collection, 14-15 May 2022

On World Vocations Sunday (8 May 2022), we remind ourselves to pray continuously for vocations to the priesthood. An urgent need, too, is to find new ways for priests and people to work together in parishes: to harness the time and talent of lay people and support them in developing their skills for use in the faith community.
