Parish Family Fun Day, Sunday 24 September 2023
Our 8th Parish Family Fun Day, was a most enjoyable event. The children were very keen to have their faces painted and had endless fun in the Bouncy Castle. A ready supply of light refreshments was provided by volunteers. In answer to prayer the rain held off, and there was even some sunshine!

Special Mass at 7pm on Thursday 28 September, marking retirement of Fr Fergus as PP.
On Thursday 28 September, a special Mass at 7pm took place to mark the retirement of Fr Fergus as PP.
This was followed by a most enjoyable meal in Elm Park Golf Club, organised by the Parish Pastoral Council.
Blessing with and Veneration of Relic of the True Cross: after 12 noon Mass on Sat, 14 Sept 2024
After 12 noon Mass on Saturday 14 September there will be a Blessing with and Veneration of a relic of the True Cross in Our Lady Queen of Peace.
It will also be possible for those attending to personally venerate the Relic.
Veneration of Relic of the True Cross: 8pm on Thursday, 14 September 2023
At 8pm on Thursday 14 September a liturgy venerating a relic of the True Cross took place in Our Lady Queen of Peace. The celebration included a homily and blessing with the Relic. It was also possible for those attending to personally venerate the Relic.
This was Fr Fergus’ last liturgical ceremony as Parish Priest.

The next talk in the “Booterstown Parish Talks” series (in collaboration with Skellig and the Iona Institute), will take place on Wed, 6 Sept, 2023 at 7.30pm, in the Booterstown Pastoral Centre. It is entitled “The Beauty and Strength of Catholic Marriage”, and will be given by Bp Phonsie Cullinan.

Our Partnership Partnership “Laudato Si Care of Creation Group” have arranged a series of events to celebrate the Season of Creation 2023 (1st September to 4th October).
Evening Recollection, Tuesday 19 Sept 2023, 7:30-9:30pm (in person & online)
Recollection Theme: “Discovering the tender mercy of God for us”.
It will begin with a meditation at 7:30pm and will be be livestreamed on the parish website, Facebook and YouTube.

PATHWAYS: Exploring Faith as an Adult
Applications are now open for the next intake of participants for Pathways. This two-year, one evening a week programme, run by the Dublin Archdiocese, begins in DCU St. Patrick’s Campus, on Thursday 28th September 2023 (7pm – 9:30 pm).
